Day
10 (October 29, 2019) Puerto Iguazu
Before
We’ve got an early flight to Buenos Aires for this
day that is scheduled to leave Trelew at 7:10 AM.
Our only purpose for this day is to arrive at
Puerto Iguazu. For this, we’ve got two separate flights which we must
link in Buenos Aires since this flight from Trelew lands in the same
airport for the one to Iguazu: Aeroparque JorgeNewbery.
Since this airport is in the middle of the city
and close to Recoleta neighborhood, we could take advantage of all this
to go to the hotel to leave our big bags and come back to the airport
to make our trip to Iguazu lighter.
If arrival at Buenos Aires is as scheduled, it
will be 9 AM and we’ll have five until the next flight for these tasks.
The flight to Iguazu plans to take off from Buenos
Aires at 2 PM and land on Iguazu around 3:50 PM. Once in the hotel we
could spend the rest of the day on getting knowledge of the environment
and a stroll to Hito Tres Frontera: A lookout to the join of rivers
Iguazu and Parana where the borders of Argentina, Brazil and Paraguay
meet.

After
Our taxi is waiting for us at 5:30 AM and, after a
short ride, we’re in Trelew’s airport. We check in and board to our
flight to Buenos Aires at 7:10 AM.
The plane lands on the capital city by 9 AM and,
after picking our bags up, we follow the plan we had for this day:
leaving the big bags in the hotel. So, we take a taxi to go to the
hotel and come back to the airport. We pay 490$ for this. After this,
we still have some hours to kill in the airport. First, we check in our
flight to Iguazu with Latam and then we make some time until 12 PM for
having our lunch: matambre and choripan for a bit more than 700$,
including drinks and homemade flan.
Our flight to Iguazu takes off on time, at 2:10
PM, and leaves us in our hot destination before 4 PM. We pay 700$ for
the taxi to hotel and we take a card since he is going to be our driver
for the next days.
Our target for today is already accomplish: we’re
in Puerto Iguazu. After some relaxing time in the swimming pool, we go
out to explore the town and getting some water and mosquito repellent,
since these insects have already welcomed us.
It’s hot and it’s still there when it’s dark,
although in a lower version. We’ve been told that these days the area
is reaching 40 degrees.
We get gnocchi for dinner in the sort of pub of a
hostel close to our hotel and go to rest.
