We will have to check out in the morning and wait for
our ferry back to Fort Lauderdale, scheduled to leave at 6 PM.
Back on the mainland, we just have to go back to the hotel where
we had already stayed three days before to rest and prepare for
our early flight the next day.

The man of the house allowed us to check out today at 3 PM, so we are not in a hurry. The only task left to do before that is to return the golf cart before 10 AM, so I leave shortly after 9 AM to complete that mission.
I deliver it with no issues and they write down a phone number for me to call a taxi at 3 PM to be able to go with luggage to the ferry terminal.
Once back at the house, the two of us go out to our last
time on the beach in the Bahamas, towards the one next to us, and enjoy a few hours of swimming and snorkeling until we return to the house after noon.
Once showered and changed, we return to yesterday's barbecue place
to order food, this time to take away. We paid $35 for some
beef ribs for Eva and spicy wings for me with corn,
broccoli with carrot and crab salad as sides.
I walk a little further to the marina, where there are several restaurants, to get a conch salad, which seems to be the most
typical dish here and we want to try it. The conch is the snail that lives
in those large shells that are everywhere here, including under
water. We have seen places with mountains of these shells.
The food is once again delicious. The crab salad looked like our typical crab sticks with mayonnaise, but the flavor was nothing like it. The conch salad is a kind of ceviche with lots of dice-shaped pieces of this animal whose texture and hardness reminiscent of squid.
With all our luggage ready, we call a taxi that, for
$5 per person, take us to the complex where the building is located to
check in for the ferry.
Since we have time to spare, we explore the place and
wait for the tram to appear at 4:30 PM, as we had been told.
It does it a little later and we have to go through immigration to get our stamp for exiting the Bahamas before boarding.
We arrive in Fort Lauderdale around 8:15 PM, where we join the line
to get our stamp for entry into the USA. From there we take a taxi from those waiting at the exit and it takes us to the apartment for $40. We go to bed soon because tomorrow we have to get up early.
