Day 1 (September 25, 2023) Arrival

Before

Our arrival in Seoul is scheduled for around 5 PM. Between arriving at the hotel and settling in, it doesn't seem like we're going to have much time for touring. So we'll probably just go out for an evening walk and get dinner oin some market nearby.

Our flight to Korea

After

The two flights go smoothly. It was a 7 hour flight to Doha and another 8 hour flight to Seoul. The connection was very fast and when we arrived at the boarding gate they were already boarding.Doha Airport

Although, before leaving our room, we marveled at the machine we have as toilet. It has a control panel full of buttons with options such as cleaning, drying and even setting the temperature of the water, air and seat.

In our way to the night market we came across the Sungnyemun Gate, illuminated in the center of the traffic like a roundabout.

We soon find Myeong Dong night market in the middle of the night because of the lights and the crowds. It is full of visual stimulations, between the lights and the amount of different products. At the first stall we stop at we get 5 dumplings by 40000 won.

We reach a street decorated with lights and continue looking and trying food. Now it is a quail egg with cheese on bread, but when we taste it we find out that what we thougth it was bread it is really like a cake, sweet, creating a curious mixture. We pay 2500 won for each one. When we share a box of ginbaps by 4000 won at another stall we already feel full.

What we didn't know is that that street led to one full of food stalls. Here we see squid, lobster, shrimp, abalone... But since we are full we leave it for another day and walk back to the hotel to rest from the long trip.
